Pumpkin Patch Fun
‘Tis the season for pumpkin patches! Around these parts, there are so many pumpkin patches to choose from– you can go really huge or much smaller depending on what experience you want, the age of your children, and the time and money you have to spend.
My brother was in town, so we wanted a fun activity to do with the kids. My parents and sister came with us too. (My kids aren’t the least bit spoiled with attention from their grandparents, aunt, and uncle!) We found a pumpkin patch not too far from us that was the perfect size with plenty of activities for our group. I haven’t been to the Bellevue Berry Farm and Pumpkin Patch (in Bellevue, NE) since I was a little girl, but it has really expanded! It used to be a family farm with just berries for picking, but not anymore! It’s still a family run farm/business, but there are so many different things to do and areas to play! We didn’t even hit all the attractions because my 1 and 3 year old children were ready for lunch and naptime, but here is a glimpse at a few things we did do:
The pirate ship bounce house was a highlight!
My daughter was even brave enough to get her face painted for the first time!
And both kids got balloons! My son got a puppy and my daughter got a flower bracelet.
We went on a Saturday morning, and the best part was that it wasn’t crowded at all! It was perfect for my 3 year old, but my 1 year old also got out of the stroller to do a few activities. Unfortunately, my husband had to work while we were off having fun, so I’m hoping the kids and I will be able to take him back with us before it closes for the season!
